Motivational speaker Clarke Straughan has had a storied career as an adventurer, world traveler, Marine, Distinguished Toastmaster, entrepreneur, and retired colonel in Intelligence. He is a former Director of International Protocol for the State of Texas and was a founding board member and officer of Protocol and Diplomacy International-the national protocol officers association.
As a professional speaker with a vast area of expertise, Straughan is able to tailor his speeches to accommodate any organization or event. His presentations high-light the "against all the odds" stories and adventures that have been the framework of his life.
Straughan's travels and adventures have taken him through Africa, South America, Europe, China, Russia, Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, India, Ne- pal, across the Middle East, Scandinavia, British Isles, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada.
Clarke and his wife Judy live in Austin, Texas. He has a BBA from Texas A & M University and a Masters degree from the University of North Texas.
