What's new at the library this month?  LOTS!

Johnson City Reads!
  Tuesday February 21th at 9:30am.  This month's book is
The Bridge at San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder
 
 
  Join us for a NEW program- The Brown Bag Lunch Series
- the second Monday of the month 12:00noon.  This month's topic is learning to use your E-reader device to download FREE e-books and e-audio books from the Library.

 GED classes have changed times to Wednesdays from 2pm-5pm and Fridays from  2pm-4:30pm
  Everyone is welcome.

NEW COMPUTERS!  Come check them out.  They really are beautiful. Windows 7 and Microsoft Office comes installed on them, and they will replace all the old children's computers  and add six new computers to the adult area.

March 3rd is the BIG Spaghetti Dinner.  Come at 5:30pmand enjoy dinner, silent auction, and Bingo.  All proceeds benefit the Library.  Tickets are available at the Library.
 
And, the library is looking for a few  new volunteers.  No big time requirements necessary, and all types of expertise needed and welcomed.

 This workshop is for writers of all levels and for those who are interested in the writing of others. Three accomplished widely published authors will present a seminar followed by a catered lunch and three interest-group workshops. These workshops include:

 JUMPING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRAIN, with Carol Dawson

WRITING FOR YOUNG READERS with Jennifer Ziegler 

THE PAST IS YOUR FUTURE:WRITING & SELLING HISTORY & BIOGRAPHY with James L. Haley

10:00AM to11:30 - Panel discussion with authors and book signing.

11:30 to 1:00- Lunch catered by Silver K Cafe'
1:00 to 4:30- Concurrent writing workshops with author of your choice.   


 

Coming in on Hwy 281, you turn left onto Hwy 290 heading west.  You are looking for a dirt road driveway on your left, in about a half a mile.  The exact address is 502 W. Main St (same as 290), between Ave. N and Ave. O.  We will have balloons and a gentleman directing you to the right spot.  The main thing is it is a dirt road on your left just past where the old log fence starts.
